Hey, I’m Alice.
I’ve been a product designer for 10+ years and love to solve complex problems across B2c and B2B spaces.
Currently I run Hahn Collective, my own design consultancy, working with early-stage ventures as a player & coach .
Always open to the right opportunities. If you're working on something interesting, let's chat.
MY THEN AND NOW STORY
WAY BACK WHEN
My undergraduate degree is in Interior Design from the University of Kansas. I then went into the kitchen and bath industry, leading the design and sales for a local company.
TO CHANGING PATHS
I've always had a passion for problem solving and experiences and wanted to switch gears in my career. I went back to complete a Master of Arts in Interaction Design.
WHERE I WAS
I've since left Kansas City for ocean and sunshine in the West Coast. I previously worked on B2C and B2B products for companies in wellness, restaurant, and supply & chain spaces.
WHERE I AM TODAY
I'm currently running Hahn Collective, my independent design consultancy supporting early-stage ventures with principal-level design and product strategy, coming off a role as Principal Designer at Microsoft Fabric, where I led design across enterprise data integration products.
Who am I in the design world?
As a contributor
I love tackling complex problems. The more we don’t know, the more excited I am to dig in deep to figure it out.
I’m big on getting to know users and step into their shoes to understand how to create the right experience for them.
When it comes to design, discovering the inconsistencies and patterns and approaching it holistically is important to me.
As a leader
I’m direct in feedback because it’s key to building a solid relationship. My approach is to always be tactful and actively listen.
I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and support you, but also push you so you can be the best version of yourself.
I like to stay close to the product work, so I can be sure that any decisions that affect the team are thoughtful and make sense.
